Banstead Five Churches Holiday Fun Week
is an annual event usually held during the first week
of the school summer holiday.
This event welcomes around 200
children aged from 5 to 12 years of age either children who
attend
services
at their own churches and their friends who like to come
back having being along once.
This years event will take place from 28th July to 1st August 2008 and will be on the theme "Pirates".
All children from the ages 5 to 12 years are welcome.
Application forms are available from all 5 churches and the Parish office of All Saints.
Be quick as this is a first come first served opportunity. All applications to be received by 4th May.
A different religious theme
is chosen
each year a blend of music and fun activities which helps
to develop the children’s’ journey of faith
in God. We start each day with collective worship lead
by the
clergy,
which relates to the theme, story prayers and lots of
singing giving inspiration to all involved. The morning
continues
with the children working in small groups; the group leader
and
helpers encourage the children to listen and learn about
God by being creative.
The children make a range of craft
items each day, which they bring into the church to share
with
everyone
and we finish with more singing before breaking for lunch.
The afternoon activities allow the children to relax
and have fun doing a range of activities from; football,
netball,
bowling,
horse riding, craft, painting, wild life talks, magician,
drama, dancing, cold cooking and many more activities.
