Banstead Five Churches
Holiday Fun Week

Fun Week – what is it?

This is an annual event which is run in the first week of Surrey County Council’s school holiday. A Bible based theme runs through the week with a morning service and group activities reflecting this where children can take part in many different crafts, games and activities organised for them in their own school year based group. Each of the 5 days there is a daily morning service packed with music, songs, prayer, a talk given by one of the Banstead Five Clergy and a really enjoyable drama performed by some of our enthusiastic teenagers. On Thursday there is a party/disco for Infant School children and later a disco for Junior School and year 7 youngsters. Fun is had, friendships are made and developed all whilst we learn more about Jesus, God and the bible. What better way to start the school holidays!

Who is it for?

It is for children in Reception classes up until year 7 and run by adult and teenage volunteers. Fun Week is organised by a group of dedicated volunteers from across the Banstead Five Churches, all adults have had DBS checks.

Where is it?

Mornings are based at the Banstead Methodist Church, The Drive, Banstead, Surrey SM7 1DA There are some morning groups located in the Scout Hut (behind the Methodist Church) and the Guide Hall (older age groups) which is a couple of buildings down the road from the Methodist Church.
